Driver Control Stations For Unattended Weighbridge

E-mail Print PDF

Two unattended weighbridges are being used for weighing trucks entering and leaving Aurora Construction’s Epping site in Melbourne. All vehicle weighing transactions are performed by drivers entering data into Driver Control Stations to eliminate the need for onsite weighbridge operators.

Driver Control Station

Supplied by Ultrahawke, the unattended weighbridges and fitted with robust concrete weighing decks to cope with the high traffic volume of heavily laden vehicles accessing the facility. Like their weighbridges, Ultrahawke’s Driver Control Stations are fully Australian Made with all manufacturing and software performed in-house in Melbourne’s Northern suburb of Campbellfield.

The Driver Control Stations are designed for easy operation with the truck drivers stepped through a series of prompts and making selections from pre-loaded content to minimise data entry errors. Each Driver Control Station is fitted with a full colour touch screen to eliminate potential for keyboard problems caused by dust or water entry.

The fully sealed Driver Control Stations are mounted inside custom stainless steel shelters for extra protection against the elements and to eliminate glare affecting the screens visibility. Both driver control stations are networked back to the client’s SAP system to enable all data to be shared with other applications.

To comply with OH&S requirements, driver access platforms and stairs were fitted for driver safety when alighting and entering their trucks. All steel used in the weighbridges and driver access platform is fully galvanised for strong resistance to corrosion.

Ultrahawke has been manufacturing heavy duty weighing equipment for over 150 years and is a fully Australian Owned company whose weighbridges are also sold through a network of agents in all states.
