An Unattended Weighbridge supplied by Ultrahawke was operated on Victoria’s Hume Highway Duplication Project.

Unattended Weighbridge

Unattended Weighbridges are designed to eliminate the need for an onsite weighbridge operator by allowing drivers to enter basic truck and load details themselves.

The Unattended Weighbridge supplied to the Abigroup included a Driver Control Station (DCS) fitted with custom weighbridge software to also print specific delivery instructions for the truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries occur to the correct destinations. The weight ticket generated by the Unattended Weighbridge includes the freeway gate number the driver needs to enter as some of the destinations up to 50km from the quarry. Also printed is the UHF channel needed to contact the site manager for specific delivery instructions.

The concrete deck weighbridge used for unattended operation measures 20 metres long by 3.5 metres long with a weighing capacity of 60.00 tonnes. The DCS is fully stainless steel and fitted with a touch screen PC with step by step prompts displayed to the drivers to ensure correct data entry sequences are followed.

Ultrahawke is Australia’s oldest manufacturer of weighbridge with over 150+ years experience fabricating weighbridges and heavy duty weighing equipment. All components of Ultrahawke’s Unattended Weighbridges are Australian Made in their own premises located in Melbourne’s Northern suburb of Campbellfield.
