Fully Digital Weighbridges For Melbourne Water

E-mail Print PDF

Four Fully Digital Weighbridges were recently commissioned by Ultrahawke at the Winneke Water Treatment Plant near Christmas Hills in Victoria.

Fully Digital Weighbridges

The four Weighbridges were installed side by side for weighing the sludge by-product generated during the water treatment process.

Flintec’s RC3D Fully Digital Weighbridge load cells offer higher internal accuracy and stability than analog based load cells but can only be certified to the same accuracy standard for Trade Use.  Benefits of Fully Digital Weighbridge load cells include faster and more accurate cornering adjustments during setup and high level error reporting that can reduce fault finding times in the unlikely event of equipment break-down.

A highly beneficial feature for Fully Digital Weighbridges installed in remote areas, is the ability for a technician to remotely login to the Digital Weight Indicator to identify potential problems before travelling to site. This feature does require internet access but can help identify the required spare parts needed to fix the potential problem.

The four Ultrahawke weighbridges were mounted fully in-ground to maximise height clearances between the weighbridges and the overhead auger systems while also allowing easy truck entry to the weighbridges. Concrete deck weighbridges were supplied to alleviate potential corrosion of full steel deck weighbridges used in this type of application.

Ultrahawke is Australia’s largest manufacturer of weighbridges and has the ability to supply weighbridges using either analog load cells or fully digital load cell systems. After sales support is available through a network of fully trained agents covering all Australian states.
