A single deck weighbridge and a Driver Control Station (DCS) manufactured by Ultrahawke are operating on Victoria’s Hume Highway Duplication Project.
The weighbridge is fitted with a single concrete deck measuring 20 metres long by 3.5 metres long and has a weighing capacity of 60.00 tonnes and is used for monitoring the volume of road base being delivered for the freeway extension.
Ultrahawke’s weighbridge software in the DCS was custom modified to suit Abigroup’s requirement to print specific delivery instructions for the truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries occur to the correct destinations. The Driver Control Station software prints a weight ticket against an order number and includes the freeway gate number the driver needs to enter and the UHF channel they use to receive specific delivery instructions from the site manager.
Abigroup is providing road base material with some of the destinations up to 50km from the quarry. The weighbridge software in the DCS provides a wide variety of functions and reporting and is designed for straightforward use by truck drivers with little computer experience.
